An estimated 3-4% of the American population has experienced a gambling problem.
2.7% of Kansas adults are at high risk for suffering from a gambling disorder.
52% of those identified, have had suicidal thoughts & almost 20% have attempted suicide.
Screen for potential gambling-related problems. Brief screens can help people decide whether to seek formal evaluation of their gambling behavior. The 3-item BBGS1 is based on the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) criteria for gambling disorder.
